About the programme

The Eco-Campus programme offers a structured framework to support higher education institutions in embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through a whole-institution approach. 

At the heart of the programme is a comprehensive and student-led Seven-Steps methodology designed to actively involve the whole student body, staff at all levels, as well as external community and industry partners. This approach fosters collaboration across the campus, driving the integration and management of sustainable practices in daily operations. 

More than just an environmental initiative, Eco-Campus is an education programme that extends learning beyond the lecture theater. It empowers students to become sustainability leaders, nurturing responsible attitudes toward the environment, culture, and society, while creating meaningful value for local and global sustainability goals.
